a partnership between Climate Neutral Cardano
and Tetikasa Ala

The CNC Ala project (Ala means “forest” in
Malagasy), is a regeneration and permaculture
project in central Madagascar where drought and deforestation have created desperate conditions for people, plants and animals. They need our help! Madagascar is home to a huge number of the worlds most exotic and endangered species, and 50% of households face real food insecurity.

Active CNC member pools like GAIA have already started donating to the project, and the full ISPO details will be released in the near future.

The consequences of deforestation are daunting and have harmed Madagascar’s biodiversity, soil, water, atmosphere and climate. A devastating 854,000 hectares of forest have been lost between 1990 and 2005 alone. Severe drought has caused decades of food shortages in Madagascar leaving
more than a million people without food security. A large portion of these face life-threatening famine-like conditions.

Together we can help reverse land degradation, deforestation, loss of biodiversity, desertification and mitigate long term effects of climate change induced drought. The main goal of the project is to plant 100,000 trees, as well as establishing food forests for diet and income.

One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. As an environmental charity, their mission is to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees.

Started in 2014, One Tree Planted has more than doubled the number of trees they have planted every year. Today, they work with amazing reforestation partners in North America, South America, Asia, and Africa who help them get trees in the ground to restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitat for biodiversity.

Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity. They also provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicine.

When you stake your ADA with GAIA Stake Pool, you can help make a difference by planting trees.

Join us today and become proud reforestation partners with us!

Every year, millions of tons of plastic enter the oceans primarily from rivers. The plastic afloat across the oceans – legacy plastic – isn’t going away by itself. Therefore, solving ocean plastic pollution requires a combination of stemming the inflow and cleaning up what has already accumulated.

Founded in 2013, The Ocean Cleanup is a non-profit organization, and is developing advanced technologies to rid the world’s oceans of plastic.

The Ocean Cleanup is a registered charity as a 'Stichting' in the Netherlands, and a 501(c)(3) in the US.

Plastic pollution in the world's oceans is one of the biggest environmental issues of our time, impacting more than 600 marine species. Plastic pollution does not only impact sea life, it also carries toxic pollutants into the food chain – a food chain including us humans.

GAIA Stake Pool is independent of, and not endorsed or sponsored by The Ocean Cleanup.

The Ocean Cleanup models indicate that a full-scale system roll-out could clean up 50% of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch in 5 years.

Research shows the majority of plastic in the gyres by mass is currently in the larger debris. By removing the plastic while most of it is still large, The Ocean Cleanup prevents it from breaking down into dangerous microplastics. Combining the cleanup with source reduction on land paves the road towards a plastic-free ocean by 2050.

Bonus Donations

We've had requests from delegators to support other charitable organizations, and some groups have reached out to us as well for support. Since this is a great opportunity to help even more, we decided to make bonus donations every month to different charitable organizations that are helping to make a difference in our world.

Bonus donation amounts will vary to round up our overall total donations to some nice whole numbers. If you know of a great charitable group that is helping to restore the Earth, or happen to be a part of such a group, please reach out to us!
